Our Available Babies

All rats on this page are AVAILABLE for adoption. They will be removed from the site if they find homes.

We specialize in Dumbo Eared rats, but do have standard ear on occasion. Our available rats typically range from 4 to 12 weeks old. We choose to rehome rats between these ages to give their new families the best chance of bonding with them while they are young.

Our babies are weaned at 4-6 weeks old and separated into gender specific cages where they live together with all of the other weaned babies of a variety of ages and sizes. This allows you to be able to pick from any same gendered rats, regardless of relation, and they will already have met and be comfortable with each-other!

New rats may be shy when you bring them home. We suggest allowing a settling-in period (of at least a few days) before handling your new rats to allow them to get accustomed to the new environment. It’s a lot of new smells, sounds and faces they have to get used to, and it can be scary!

Our rehoming fees range from $25-$80, and varies from rat to rat. We determine the rehoming fee depending on lineage, availability of coats, color, gender and complexity of genes. Some varieties like Hairless, Longhair and Dwarf are less common due to smaller litter sizes and recessive qualities, and their fee reflects their rarity.

Cost doesn’t make any of them more or less special. A lot goes into raising rats, and some are simply more difficult to produce than others. Prices are decided because of the cost and time it's taken to obtain, test, breed, raise, and develop each individual line.

New rats added biweekly (when available)

I do not adopt out solo rats. This is non-negotiable. Rats must be adopted in same sex pairs or groups. Even if you have rats already, young rats need same age company. They have higher energy levels and are more active than adult rats. Introducing rats into a new place can also be stressful, having a friend to rely on for comfort can be extremely beneficial and ease the process.
